About Chaz Berman

Serial entrepreneur Chaz Berman possesses more than 30 years of experience in management roles for a diverse set of companies. After earning his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Art History from Case Western Reserve University, Mr. Berman pursued further academic and professional endeavors at San Francisco State University. After graduating with a Master’s degree in Marketing, he joined Willitts Designs as Vice President of Sales. For seven years, Mr. Berman contributed to the company’s growth and increased revenue; Willitts Designs was later sold to Hallmark Cards, Inc.

In 1988, Chaz Berman accepted a position as President and Chief Executive Officer of WineWrights in Rohnert Park, California. Utilizing his experience in business development and growth, Mr. Berman oversaw operations and increased overall revenue to $4.5 million by the time he left in 1993. Expanding his experience in the food and wine industry, Mr. Berman founded GoodStuffs, a membership club that provided gourmet foods and fine wine to its members. In the first year, he led the company from initial concept through to operations, using complex database marketing and making sales of $500,000.

For several years, Chaz Berman worked in the Internet industry. Gaining his experience at MyPoints.com, Inc., from 1998 to 2000, Mr. Berman led the Sales Department as Senior and Executive Vice President of Sales, Executive Vice President of Sales and Client Resources, and Chief Operating Officer. Following his time with MyPoints.com, Chaz Berman established his own company, UniPrivacy, Inc., d/b/a DeleteNow. As the company founder and Chairman of the Board, he contributed to the development of the business’ service to remove personal information from Internet search engines, offline databases, and directories. Under Mr. Berman’s direction, the company created and applied for a patent for its revolutionary technology, Digital Purge Engine.
